Event Resources, Types and Rate Cards

Use resource types, attributes and rate cards inside an event, pull them from your organization, and request composites in procurement.

Inside an event, resources work the same way they do in your organization: types, attributes and rate cards. This page covers what is specific to the event level. For the concepts, see Resources Overview.

Pulling Types and Attributes from the Organization

An event admin can add an attribute from the organization library, or pull a whole type. Pulling a type also brings its attributes, all of its rate cards, and its components. Refresh from org updates a pulled type when the organization changes it.

Events can also hold types and attributes of their own that do not exist at the organization level.

Who Can Change Event Resources

Changing the event's resource library and its sections requires the EventSettings permission.

Requesting Resources in Procurement

When someone requests a resource, only the attributes active on Procurement are asked for. Requesting a composite adds one need for each component. The composite is a grouping, so it has no schedule of its own. Use Set schedule on the composite to apply one schedule to all of its components, then adjust any single component if it differs.

A request can override the rate card, choosing from the cards on that resource's type.
